DXDIAG only tells you the version installed not what the card is capable of though this could be used to determine somethings.
The card will not tell you if it is compliant. Unless you have really, really old hardware you could safely assume they are direct x 9 compliant. Is there any registry key or file or wmi command that lets us know this inof? I refer to prereqs statement from Microsoft 'For Windows 8, we require that your processor support NX for security reasons to ensure that malware defense features work reliably'. Hi, How do we find if all of our enterprise machines have 'DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 greater' or not? I see finding such info on individual machines may be easier using dxdiag.exe etc but how to find tons of compr around in our enterprise (we have SCCM). Is this just a compatibility spec the existing graphics must meet? Bottom line: my system has ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics. The graphics requirements for Win 10TP are described as 'Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver'.
